baby- eye hand coordination game

This video has two games. First one it's to follow an object with the eyes and the second one it's to hold the object. As all the games for babiesb the amount of time it's a minute, if you see any sign of tiredness like one of the babies in the video yawning or fussiness, it's time to stop and have a nap. Our objective it's stimulate not hyperstimulate our babies.
Follow an object: The first thing it's to get the attention of the baby in the object, then we move the object very slowly right and left, up and down. The firt time you do this game use a short degree of rotation and little by little you can extend it. They are lots of investigations made that babies are prone to look before black and white colors and geometric shapes this is why we use this object for the babies.
Hold the object: The first thing it's to get the attention, place the object in front of and next to his face. If the baby holds the object o tries to hold it praise him, and expect it to do it very slowly and without precision. If the baby doesn't make any sign of trying to hold it, touch his hand with the object and place it back in front of him several times. We hope you enjoy the video as we do:)

Este video tiene dos juegos. El primero es seguir un objeto con los ojos y el segundo coger un objeto. Como todos los juegos de bebes la duración será de un minuto, si se observa algún signo de cansancio como uno de los bebes en el video o de lloro, es momento de parar y acostarlos. Nuestro objetivo es estimular y no sobreestimular al bebé. Seguir un objeto: Lo primero es captar la atención del bebé sobre el objeto, despues movemos es objeto muy despacio de derecha a izquierda y de arriba a abajo. La primera vez que se realiza este juego realizarán una rotación pequeña pero poco a poco la extenderán. Se han realizado muchos estudios que demuestran como los bebés prefieren los colores blanco y negro y las figuras geométricas es por ello que utilizamos este objeto para los bebés. Coger un objeto: Lo primero es captar la atención del niño sobre el objeto, colocar el objeto enfrente y cerca de su cara. Si el bebé lo coge o hace el esfuerzo de cogerlo alabarlo y esperar que lo haga muy despacio y con poca precisión. Si el bebé no realiza ningún signo de cogerlo toca su mano y vuelve a colocar el objeto delante de el varias veces. Espero que os guste el video como nos gusta a nosotros.

Letter F, North America, Caterpillars, Green...

Noarai is 42 months and Lucia is 24 months old

In geography we were working on North America. We had fun pretending to be the statue of Liberty.

In letters we worked on F finding different objects starting with F all over the house.

We introduced the concept of Medium to Lucia and we had fun comparing our feet (shoes) and painting our feet trace.

We made frog feet stamping and our F for feathers craft, and Noarai wrote her name all by herself:)

We had fun singing the "Harry, Harry, drive the firetruck". I made in foam (a firehouse, a firetruck, the ladder and the hose) Lucia loved it. And of course we acted the song with our hats and stearing wheel.

We plant our beans with wet cotton and we had fun everyday tracking the changes.

We had lots of fun playing, feeding and cleaning the box of our caterpillar. We learned about constancy on feeding everyday our caterpillars because we forgot it for two days and some of the caterpillars died, the following days Noarai reminded me each day to feed them. They also learned about butterflies and we compared the differences between our caterpillars and the butterfly we had. It was challenging to hold the caterpillar and to pass them to her sister so it was challenging fine motor work as well.

Green bath painting. They loved this activity, they are asking to paint everyweek in the bathtub. I used shaving cream with food colorant, it's perfect for cleaning and for sensible skins.

Lucia it's reviewing her numbers from 1-5 and we played the "water game" they jumped from number to number and if they fall down I sprinkle some water on them. They loved to be sprinkled.

Preparing our poster of North America. We worked on some of the different races we find there: afroamerican, native american, mexican, american.

We painted our outline of North America and glued: the golden bridge, the white house and the statue of Liberty (we worked them the weeks before) and the different races as well.

I used contact paper for preserving the map and for stucking it to the wall. Every morning we sing our song of North America and we point to everything on the map (I will make a video for the next week)

For music day I introduced The letter G with Gorilla. We made the Gorilla dance in front of the mirror, we played our song with the instruments, and on the xilophone and we finished writting our music sheet of the song. Noarai is getting pretty good at reading music sheets:) I hope to share more of this music work soon.

character building videos

Noarai 42 months and Lucia 24 months

This is a year around project. The girls love to see videos and I realized we can enjoy videos and work character as well as bible verses. I don't have a plan for learning bible verses, I observe the challenges they are facing and I choose a bible verse to help them. I'm amazed of how powerful is learning bible verses in their character training and also excited because this tool makes learning bible verses really fun. I will be updating this post weekly:

Montessori Geography!

Noarai 42 months and Lucia 24 months

We've been working on the continents lately. I made our continents puzzle on cardboard, easy and inexpensive. The girls loved to sing their continents song:

They also enjoyed playing with our cereal box. They fed the cereal box with the continents:

monsters 1 last week post!!!

Noarai 36 months and Lucia 18 months

Last week I wasn't able to write so here you have our last week.

Some Montesori work. Lucia worked pouring cereals from one cup into the other.

Noarai worked in spooning cereals and pouring with cups of tea.

The following materials are from 2teachingmomies and from 1+1+1=1
She enjoyed the graphing activity a lot this week.

She cut all her monsters and sort them in two eyes or three eyes. She is doing pretty good in cutting lately.

She did some Confessions of a homeschooler writting practice I had from last year printed. Last year she wasn't ready for them, but this year she's really motivated in writting,

We did some shape review with Lucia. As Lucia knows the circle and triangle she stuck the circle sticks inside the circle and the same with the triangles ones. I was amazed she could do it all by herself:)))

As this was too easy for Noarai she decorated her moster and cut it out.

Look mommy I made an Elephant!!!! She couldn't do it again :)

Monsters counting for Noarai and dot painting for Lucia. Lucia painted everywhere as I was helping Noarai with the big numbers.

Monsters puzzle for Noarai she did a great job and is starting to enjoy puzzles, and Lucia was still playing with dot paintings.

We mixed blue and yellow to make green.

Bathtub painting with blue and yellow. It was so funny to listen to the girls saying look mommy the water is turning green. I used shaving cream with food colorant.

We were all sick on Friday so we did lots of playing and this post game with a cereal box and cards,

daddy's time Friday- cuddling

The girls are enjoying daddy a lot. As I'm on bedrest daddy is with the girls every evening and the girls are so happy with him.

Daddy is so funny that can where antennas while reading a book to miss Lucia with a beautiful hat.

Daddy take the girls to a zoo very often and they love it.

This week daddy had a funny idea. Let's have dinner in the bathtub, with a really funny made up song. The girls were laughing all the time. And daddy kept saying this is the cleanest way to eat:))))

Thanks daddy for helping mommy to rest and for being so funny and cuddly. We love you very much!!!!!
